Established in 1987 under the auspices of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, we have positioned ourselves as the ideal Home for the elderly and frail. Our Home is situated in the quiet town of Anerley on the lower south coast of Kwazulu-Natal. We are uniquely positioned to offer quality care at affordable rates.
We are affiliated to Meals on Wheels Community Services, the welfare arm of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. We are also registered with the Department of Social Development.
We are paid up members of the South African Association of Homes for the Aged.
We are paid up members of the South African Care Forum.
Our Services
Our vision of caring for the old and frail has been adequately catered for by a serene, secure and ideal environment in a seaside town of Anerley in Kwazulu-Natal.
We provide 3 balanced meals per day in our main dining room. Our main meal is served at lunch time.
We also offer laundry services. We provide a transport service at a small cost for those who are able to utilise the service.
Facilities
Our spacious and well-maintained accommodation facilities can accommodate up to 85 residents. We have accommodation ranging from single rooms to 4 people in a room. Some of our rooms have ensuite shower and toilet facilities. Each resident has their own cupboard and bedside locker. We provide all the bedding, linen and towels.
We have a maintenance team that ensures our facilities are safe and user-friendly.
Nursing Care
We have 24-hour nursing care available should a resident need assistance. Our staff compliment comprises, Professional Nurses, Enrolled Nurses (Staff Nurses), Enrolled Nurse Assistants and Care Givers. Every staff member from Administration through Nursing is considered a care giver in their particular field.
We have a Nurse-Bell call system that provides peace of mind. We have a private doctor who oversees the medical needs of our residents.
Leisure
We have daily programs including exercise classes, craft (hobbies) classes, reading groups and games. We have a variety of church services, prayer meetings and sing-alongs. There is something for everyone.
We have beautiful sea views from the lapa where residents can sit and enjoy the breeze and good conversation.
